VR Foundation supports research across the biomedical spectrum, from fundamental lab-based science to clinical trials. We provide an environment to connect scientists, labs, care providers, pharmaceutical companies and patients to the news from the scientific frontiers, latest developments and best treatment practices.
Our strategy includes several funding programs. They have their own goals but are designed to work together. Most importantly, they are designed to be scalable and self-perpetuating, by funding:
- Research leaders who keep focus on vitiligo research and feed it with vibrant new ideas,
- Cross-disciplinary teams of investigators in strategic areas, i.e. immunology or genetics,
- Novel projects with great potential to produce breakthroughs for treating vitiligo.
This strategy defines the VR Foundation’s distinctive role in contributing to faster and more effective vitiligo research, at all stages – from understanding the fundamental science to testing specific drugs and therapies.
