• Genetic laboratory Allele for multistage genome-wide association study to better understand the biology of vitiligo. Andrei Tatarenko, PhD (Moscow, Russia)
• Institute of Gene Biology, Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow) for the molecular study of vitiligo cell cultures. Study complete in 2009.
• Institute of Pigment Disorders for investigation of virus participation in vitiligo pathogenesis. Principal investigator is Konstantin Lomonosov, MD, Professor, President of the vitiligo Society (Moscow, Russia)
• Boost Technologies BV for the investigation of involvement of biologically active peptides in vitiligo development and treatment. Principal investigator is Sergey V. Litvinov, PhD. (Amsterdam, the Netherlands)
Our grant funding has led to advances in comprehending the underlying causes and perpetuating factors of vitiligo. The funded research results will be presented and discussed in detail at the vitiligo Symposium to be held in St. Petersburg on July 7, 2011.
We will also present design and implementation of our Cloud Medical Research and Management platform.
