Elixiron Immunotherapeutics (Hong Kong) Ltd. plans to enroll about 45 participants. EI-001 is an experimental antibody that blocks interferon-gamma, an inflammatory signal involved in melanocyte damage. Researchers hope it will protect pigment-producing cells and support repigmentation. Possible risks include infusion or allergic reactions, headache, and infections; its full safety profile is not yet known. People ages 18 to 65 may qualify. The study is recruiting at 6 listed sites in United States, and Taiwan.
