Description:
Novartis Pharmaceuticals plans to enroll about 210 participants. The experimental antibody blocks IL-15, an immune signal that helps pigment-destroying T cells survive. Researchers hope it will reduce the immune attack on melanocytes and allow skin color to return. Possible risks include injection or infusion reactions, headache, and infections; longer-term risks are still being studied. People ages 18 to 99 may qualify. The study is recruiting at 72 listed sites across 12 countries.
