Removing halo moles to study active vitiligo
Official title: Central Nevus Removal Versus Conservative Treatment for Halo Nevus With Vitiligo: A Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial

Description:
Xijing Hospital plans to enroll about 60 participants. The study removes halo moles, which are surrounded by pale skin, to see whether they help drive immune activity in vitiligo. Researchers want to learn whether removal can help stabilize disease or improve response to standard treatment. Possible risks include pain, bleeding, infection, scarring, and pigment changes. People ages 6 to 45 may qualify. Recruitment has not started yet; the record lists one listed site in China.
